On complaining less

For no apparent reason, I started paying attention to whether complaining made me feel better, and I found that for a lot of things, talking about them four or five times made me feel better, but after that, it was just habit, so I'd stop after four or five times (hopefully to different people).

At this point, there are annoying things that happen to me that I don't talk about at all because they don't seem to be worth mentioning.

Moderately true

You can't wrap a hug in words and send it through email. But you can send a fist. And that's the problem with asymmetry on the Intarwebz. From theferrett.

I do think positive emotions can be conveyed in text, but it takes work. Being nasty to people in text can be done reflexively.
