Semi-random question

Is there any fiction about a court jester who's become king?

All of the Lancre novels, in fact: It happens in Wyrd Sisters, and Verence II is still king in Lords and Ladies and Carpe Jugulum. And for all I know he is king there yet. I think he's as admirable a king as Havelock Vetinari is a tyrant; he puts me in mind of the famous verdict on Norton I's reign. . . .

Tangent: I just read Sarah Zettel's Fool's War in which there are members of the Fool's Guild named Verence...and Havelock.
