A little more geek pleasure
The Next Invasion by Robert Reed.
A clever short story, though I admit I'm not sure that recounting the explanation was plausible. On the other hand, it was so cool that I can live with it.
Does anyone remember the title of the Reed story about what human cultures would be like if people had evolved with no aging?

I thought that was one of the most brilliant stories I'd ever read and was astonished that it wasn't nominated for any awards.
