Email problems

Uslec (the current owner of netaxs) is still having problems with email--instead of being forwarded to my account at panix, mail to my netaxs account is only readable with mutt (I prefer pine) and some of it may be disappearing. I'll let everyone know when things are serene again at uslec, but meanwhile, you can email me at nancyL *at* panix *period* com.

I hate the idea of changing my basic email address. I've been publicizing the netaxs address for a very long time, but the current situation is making me twitch. What do you folks think of having gmail as one's primary address?

I didn't think about it--I suppose I think of nancybuttons.com as my business rather than basic to the rest of my life, but you guys may have a point there.

I've got three email addresses at Verizon, one gmail address, two work addresses, and should really get ogoense.net back now that the Russian porn spammer dropped it after picking it up as a revenge thing when I dropped it.

Plus I get mail forwarded from the livejournal address, whatever that is .

Seriously, get a gmail address for posting to Usenet, answering personals, and subscribing to the NY Times headlines. Put your business address in your sig, and keep the panix address for friends.

Verizon was at one time filtering out the NY Times headlines mailing, so I put that on gmail.
