Looking for article about lost mortgage information

A few weeks ago, I found an article about the extent of the information that the banks lost about people's mortgages, and left the link in a tab until I was up for reading it. Unfortunately, the link went to where unloved information goes in a Firefox crash.

Anyone know of a good article about what happened to mortgage info? Is Chrome more stable than firefox?

I don't know if Chrome is more stable than Firefox. I use it, and I've found them both to be pretty reliable.

Chrome definitely gives you the option to recover open tabs after a crash, though.

So does Firefox -- at least it does for me. Possibly one must choose "Show my windows and tabs from last time" in the general preferences section.

Haven't had an unintentional crash in a while, but occasionally I have one on purpose (by killing the process directly).

A good keyword for searches is "robosigner."

Seems to me there was a really good rundown in a magazine that kicked off this story, but I've forgotten where it was.
