Phone plans

I'm going to change phone plans--I've been paying MCI way more than I needed to. What I want is 24/7 long distance and the usual suite of call waiting and such. Any recommendations for a phone company? Horror stories?

Vonage has worked well for us. Do you have broadband that isn't tied to your phone line? (actually, you could use Vonage over DSL as a long distance service and keep the landline)
