A very good registry cleaner

A while ago, fixx recommended Easy Cleaner. It's a registry cleaner--it tidies up the registry which is where a Windows computer keeps track of what it's doing. (For a more complete description of what a registry does, see the Wikipedia link. I have no idea what non-Windows computers use instead of registries.)

Easy Cleaner revived this computer when it had almost slowed to a stop--it's a really valuable piece of software, and I'm glad fixx found it and passed it along.

MacOS uses individual files, but they're (mostly) stored in consistent locations instead of being scattered hither and yon like .INI files were.
