I've never had extensive dealings with Maine Coons--my impression was that they're low-maintenance longhairs and this is the first I've heard anything bad about them. Afaik, suecochran's Maine Coon is quite a nice cat.

Maine Coons are typically gentle giants. Hobbes had a little in him and that described him.

The video of how "violent and awful" the cat was made me think the guy was insane. Aside from the whole "Post-it Note torture", he seems to pet the cat almost like he's playing with it, so yeah, I'd expect him to be clawed.

The writer might be insane, or he just be doing a humorous rant based on very little. After all, cats can't sue for libel.

I hope he was being sarcastic rather than oblivious to the fact that (judging from the video) he was pestering the cat until it swatted him one.

Heidi (pictured) is a pretty laid-back cat (except when Vir pesters her).

D's cousin A's cat Sita is a Maine Coon. She's pretty territorial. She chased a German Shepherd out of their yard. I Do Not Want To Mess with that cat.

I got bored with the video after about the fifth piece of paper, so I didn't see how far he took it. Maybe it would be worth sending him an email.
