May have lost my phone number

My phone line is down again. My phone number is disconnected for no apparent reason.

I've been trying to switch from Cordia to Cavalier, and I assume something went wrong. Cordia is doing a system upgrade and won't be able to look at my account until tomorrow.

Meanwhile, would anyone care to recommend a phone company? I was happy with Cavalier until this mess, and if they're generally competent for usual situations, I can live with them, but I also might be a bit happier if I never hear their hold music again.

Before last night I would have said Vonage, my company, but they were down for awhile last night. Still, it's cheaper than the landline I used to have.

I've been generally happy with Cavtel for phone, but they have been allowing residential to atrophy and focusing on the enterprise customers. Not an irrational decision given regulatory environment.

Are you actually subscribed to Cavtel and been activated, or are you in the hand off stage between two companies? That is often a big source of problems.
