Different premises, same conclusions
Nov. 18th, 2009 06:21 amI don't like K. Sheik Mohammed getting his trial near the site of the World Trade Center because it seems like an invitation to revenge. If you want both justice and the appearance of justice, I don't think that's how you do it. It's possible that I'm too finicky.
In any case, I've been told that there are people on the unhinged right who think he can't get a fair trial in New York because the place is full of liberals who'll let him off easy.
In other news, I've seen claims that the new recommendations for fewer mammograms are a Republican effort to kill women (more likely to vote for Democrats) and that fewer mammograms is an example of death panels.
