A few things I'm thankful for
Nov. 24th, 2011 01:30 pmThis. You are not being rickrolled. It isn't any other sort of practical joke. It's just silly. I'm thankful for my readers, and I don't post things for the sake of being annoying.
Other than that, as a direct result of giving a pile of advice to a friend, I replied to a slightly scary blog post instead of stewing indefinitely about an infuriating post that I wasn't going to reply to.
I'm reading Hillary Rettig's 7 Secrets of the Prolific, a book about how to be a writer without making your life any more difficult than necessary, and when I told a friend about the idea of getting yourself good tools to do what you care about, he immediately decided to get himself a decent saxophone.
Also, I've turned off Prairie Home Companion and am listening to Alash's Buura, which is a great improvement.
