Adagio cantabile with a rock tempo feel

This is only called a death waltz. Actually a difficult piece (anyone know what it is?) with large chunky chords and glissados best played by someone with big spidery hands.

I've seen a plausible claim that the piano piece is actually U.N. Owen Was Her?, but I don't like this enough to listen to it carefully.
