A more accurate translation for עס לאָזט זיך אין מױל אַרײַן is "It lets itself into your mouth". That doesn't sound so understated.

Thanks, though I'm not clear about the meaning of "it lets itself into your mouth".

Maybe "It's so attractive you don't need to choose to eat it-- you'll just eat it because it's wonderful"?
