Please note, I just did an interest search and discovered that two LJers already had "Nancybuttons" (no space) listed as an interest, suggesting your fans preceded you. Naturally I added this as an interest of my own, you can if you want.
The other thought is that, once you've acclimated to LJ, you might want to consider taking on a new handle, "nancybuttons" would be great, (assuming it is not taken, and right now it isn't) and there issuing a daily "thought of the day"; A button title, either current or experimental.
Once the daily postings start showing up in even a couple people's LJ's and leaving an entirely new generation of fans rolling on the floor laughing, it will gain subscribers and quite passively popularize your website with no real effort on your part.
I can see an advantage of separating the business you from the personal you on LJ, in as much as I would think that a lot more people (all ages/types/varieties) would probably subscribe to a slogans that issues one short slogan a day, than would necessarily subscribe to any individual.
Another advantage I can think of regards the limited number of photos you are permitted for free accounts. Suppose it is 5, I no longer recall, you can load 5 popular buttons as the 5 photos for "nancy buttons", and rotate them in and out every couple of weeks as your "default photo" while keeping images more personal to you in your personal journal.
There may be a downside to this approach, but I'm at a loss to figure out what that might be and so I will leave that to you and others to answer.
Now that you're here...
