Optimistic YA SF

In comments to a column at Tor.com, Where Are the Positive Futures?, I mentioned a YA SF anthology which was definitely more cheerful than most of the sf I've been seeing for the past ump years, but I couldn't remember the title. It was Escape from Earth edited by Dann and Dozois, and I recommend it..

I liked that one too and I think it explicitly had as its thesis "what if we wrote YA fiction that was not like a series of bitter pills followed up by a punch in the face?" Although I think they used different wording.

I remember being struck by how many had poverty as their main driver for the protagonists.
