nancylebovBIRD by Andrew Zuckerman-- excellent photographs and video of birds against white backgrounds. To judge by the images, Zuckerman is fascinated by the texture of feathers, and any bird that's fluffy or hairy really pops.
Note to artists-- there are a number of pictures of birds from the back, not the most commonly available view.
When I first saw the pictures, I assumed the backgrounds where photoshopped away, but there were some making-of videos. It's all very crude and matter-based-- birds are encouraged to fly or walk in front of a white background.
