A ljer stands up to stupid security

I bet the guard just wanted to steal the book.

I hope mephron posts any further developments in the story, but it's been so extensively linked to and he's so swamped with comments that I'm not nuhdging him about it.

There was a report of a followup (http://www.boingboing.net/2004/08/11/dd_book_reader_on_fe.html) in BoingBoing. Greg Costikyan contacted the ferry company; apparently this is not company policy.

We'll see if this poor guy ever pulls his LJ out of friends-only mode; it will take time. And I hope we do hear more about this, one way or another, or that guard and other like him will pick on lots of other folks.

Yes, but if security guards end up stealing books, doesnt aht make you feel more secure?

It's For Your Own Good, remember that!

We now return you to your regularly scheduled mind-control.

(in a wee tiny voice) um, I'm not sure I don't think that the story is fiction. How do I say that without being rude?

Nit

There were four cover artists on this project (http://www.pen-paper.net/rpgdb.php?op=showbook&bookid=2993). Boris Vallejo was not one of them.
