What do you think of

Faith rules. Biblical literalism drools.

?

[livejournal.com profile] nellorat is interested in just a couple, and I suspect there's a market for them, but I thought I'd check in with my flist.

Would you want it on a button?

Faith rules> Biblical literalism drools.

The people who need to see this message rarely do - I think it's a great button!

I'm an atheist, so it doesn't interest me.

Good idea but the rhythm is off. I'm not sure how to fix it.

Faith rules,
creationism drools

is only a little better. The real problem is that you need a monosyllable to match "faith" -- or at most a one-stress disyllable -- and I can't think of one that makes the meaning work.

I wouldn't, but then I don't wear slogans/buttons that are deliberately insulting to the beliefs of others. The bigger question is whether or not you would make a similarly derogatory comment on another button about a particular subset of, say, Jewish theology- pick your least favorite.

Not bad. I wouldn't go overboard, but a few in your bins might be good.

Hmmmm....I agree with the sentiment, but it isn't speaking to me. doesn't strike me as particularly funny or clever. It feels like "your ugly and your mother dresses you funny."

A good button for me has some zing or a clever twist.
