Someone has noticed that Radley Balko has a funny name.

Which science fiction author would have been most likely to have come up with it? Doc Smith? Gordon Dickson?

Hero? Villain? Minion? Sidekick?

I vote for Smith and minion, but I'm open to other suggestions.

I see him as the scientist who kicks off the story with his discovery, then takes a back seat to the hero. But I agree he should be in an Asimov story.
