Several years ago, Rockwell International decided to get into the heavy duty transmission business.

We were getting ready to tape our first introduction video.

As a warm up, the professional narrator began what has become a legend within the trucking industry.

This man should have won an academy award for his stellar performance.

Now remember this is strictly off the cuff, nothing is written down.

Birds!

BIRD by Andrew Zuckerman-- excellent photographs and video of birds against white backgrounds. To judge by the images, Zuckerman is fascinated by the texture of feathers, and any bird that's fluffy or hairy really pops.

Note to artists-- there are a number of pictures of birds from the back, not the most commonly available view.

When I first saw the pictures, I assumed the backgrounds where photoshopped away, but there were some making-of videos. It's all very crude and matter-based-- birds are encouraged to fly or walk in front of a white background.
