An Unnatural Disaster
Aug. 27th, 2010 08:17 amThe Big Uneasy by Harry Shearer is a movie arguing that the flooding of New Orleans from Katrina was not the inevitable result of having a city in the wrong place, it was the result of a large number of mistakes made by the Army Corps of Engineers.
It will be in theaters on August 30 to commemorate Katrina, and for no other nights. I think this is a publicity move of extremely dubious value, but I intend to see it at the Ritz East in Philadelphia. I don't have the showtimes yet, but let me know if you'd like to get together for it.
There was a mention that the movie will be available by other means, so I suppose there will be a DVD.
