Ah, remember, it was in PG County lo these many years ago, where the PG County Cop shot and killed a DC Cop *in the DC Cop's home*. This was shortly before DC passed the law insisting that public servants live within DC.
What had happened was that the DC Cop came home to find that his house had been burglarized. Not being in his home jurisdiction, he couldn't call for backup. He drew his service weapon as he entered his own house, in c ase there was anyone still there as he was trying to find out exactly what the situation was.
Meanwhile, neighbors had called the PG cops because of the burglary. PG cops arrive on the scene, spotted a black man with a readied weapon in a burglarized house. *They* claim, of course, that they identified themselves, and told the "suspect" to surrender. When the "suspect" didn't, the PG County cop fired.
Neighbors denied ever hearing any warning from the PG County cops.
Not only did the police not have a "No Knock" warrant, as they originally claimed, but now even theyr'e sayign that the mayor & wife are most likely the victims of a drug smuggling ghost mailing: the packages are addressed to an unsuspecting party, and intercepted (usuallY) before they get there.
