A little more about how the universe looks to me

Now that I think about it, I don't file "energy" (that not-perceptible-to-science stuff which seems to be associated with living and other interesting things) under the numinous. I can perceive it reliably, so it falls in the sensory category for me.

It's curious that you primarily associate energy with living things. Every object has energy and even empty space has energy. There's no basis for separating potential energy and kinetic energy. Animal life tends to use the chemical potential energy of four elements (CHON) to produce motion.
