Hrm. Last time I played it it told me a platypus was an herbivore that eats fish. Oh, and it doesn't dig or live in burrows. (or go inside other things. What kind of question is that for an *animal*?)
It also asks some stupid questions:
"Can you hold it?" I have no idea how to answer this. Is the real question about size? tameness? availability? "Can it be washed?" Um. Can't everything? "Can liquids pass through it?" I already said IT'S AN ANIMAL. The answer depends on how you mean that question, but either way you should already know the answer based on that. "Is it heavy?" I said no for platypus, but without defining "heavy," that's a pretty much useless question in many cases. "Does it bring people pleasure?" Again, not well defined. I guess they meant like domestic pets, but I find that a *lot* of people (including myself) are pleased by the existence of such a weird creature as the platypus, and find joy in looking at/discussing them. It said no.
Actually, it probably only gets half or a little less of what I've thrown at it, but sometimes I'm not doing the best job either--frex, waffling about whather LOTR is the text or the books.
In any case, it's become more competent in regards to the platypus:
Q17. I am guessing that it is a platypus (duck-billed)? Yes , No , Close 16. Is it originally from Australia? Yes. 15. Does it eat fish? Yes. 14. Does it have good vision? Yes. 13. Can it bend without breaking? Yes. 12. Is it carbon-based? Yes. 11. Is it flexible? Probably. 10. Does it have a long tail? No. 9. Is it heavy? No. 8. Does it swim? Yes. 7. Is it cold blooded? No. 6. Is it usually green? No. 5. Does it have claws? Yes. 4. Does it make sound? Yes. 3. Is it a type of bird? No. 2. Does it lay eggs? Yes. 1. It is classified as Animal.
It was an educational experience for me--I kept googling to be able to give accurate answers. I had no idea that platypi electro-located.
On the other hand, why was 20q so concerned about flexibility? Why did it ask about carbon-basedness when I'd already said it was an animal? It's a shame, considering how clairvoyant it seemed when it asked about egg-laying as the second question.
Reasonably well?
