Will security guards who think that Real ID is part of the bad guys' plan for the apocalypse be allowed to keep their jobs while not checking ID?

I don't know what you were looking at when you typed "Yes. See below.", but all I see below those words is somebody else's reply, a question about pharmacists.

That was it. There are recent efforts to allow pharmacists who are morally opposed to birth control to not dispense it and still keep their jobs.

And also, we're almost certainly going to have national ID cards by 2008.
