Does anyone know whether the Leonard C. Lewin who wrote Report from Iron Mountain is the same person who wrote Triage.

The former is pretty famous-- it purports to be a government report about why war is generally beneficial, but is almost certainly a satire. On the other hand, has anyone filed a FOIA request?

The latter is obscure-- it's an account of a group which decides to kill people who need killing, and which adopts wider and wider criteria of who to kill.

Same guy. Years later he wrote an article (Times book review, I think) admitting that the Report was a hoax.

I thought you'd know.

Do you have a cite? I'd like to update the Wikipedia article.

Thanks. I couldn't find a mention in your link, but there seemed to be enough evidence here and there.
