Remember that in the space flight world, the technology lags behind what's current on the ground for lots of reasons, the most vivid being the need to "rad harden" all the electronic components. For example, FUSE, which was launched in 1999, had as its primary onboard processor a rad hardened Motorola 68020. That's the same processor that powered the Apple IIe.
So the KH-9 flight hardware was, I suspect, more like vintage 1960-65, if even that recent.
The 68020 is more like a late-80s Mac. Otherwise yes -- I worked a bit on Deep Space 1 and it also had a rad-hardened processor at least a decade behind the times.
