A film critic does the best he can to introduce his sons (age 3 and 7) to Star Wars, with all the plot twists in the most dramatic order. It works.

Wonderful but ... didn't anybody else feel upset by the Mom who describes Star Wars as a "boy thing" to her two young sons and says "Mommies like to watch other kinds of movies"?

Because, hello, this mommy here - myself - does not like chick flicks - she likes SF, fantasy, and adventure! Two boys who can follow the ethical dilemmas in Star Wars are quite old enough to understand that "mommies" are not one homogenous lump.

I wasn't exactly upset, but I was put off by it.
