The reference to "two separate frequency components with a particular phase difference" makes me think of the color out of space. I wonder what a beam of photons modulated that way would look like to a human observer?

Thank you! Whenever I'm in direct sunlight I can feel a million of these little buggers prying up my skin cells. How lovely to know that my impressions now have some scientific backing.

I love having highly educated friends. It saves me a lot of time I'd normally have to spend on research. I never really liked research.
