Meteor showers in the east a little before dawn

At their best on Friday, but they'll be going on for some days after that.

The nice fellow left on his annual meteor watching trip at 4:30 this morning. THey used to do it at the Pinnacles, on top of Scout Peak, but they couldn't anymore. Then they did it at Fremont Peak which is only an hour away. This year they're doing it at the top of the WHite Mountains, where the bristlecone pines are: about an eight hour drive. He does it with a varying sized group of friends, they take snacks and drinks and binoculars and sit around all night talking and watching.
