Returning to DW/LJ

I'd drifted away to Facebook, but I've decided to post anything I'd like to be able to find again here as well.

Also, FB has started deleting posts for no reason.

How is Facebook deleting them? Is it making the earliest ones disappear, or just randomly eliminating them?

Randomly. The problem rose to consciousness for me when a frequent poster complained about it happening to his posts, and then I realized that a harmless recent post of mine disappearing was part of a pattern.

Ughh.

Plenty of people have pointed out that Facebook doesn't really exist for the sake of people's interaction--that that's just the mask it wears--but the many MANY ways it finds to be alienating and awful while plying its murky trade just continue to freak me out.

I've been terrible at actually posting things, to the point that I have at least four posts I want to make when I have the spoons to do so. February has bee a very spoon-eating month.
