It wasn't a total waste of time (saw friends, talked with interesting new people, got excellent new slogans which will be posted here and on my site in a day or so, swam in the Pacific, went to a Steve Barnes workshop, saw the usual gorgeous scenery and a little bit of Vegas...), but so far as money is concerned, may I never have such a Worldcon again.

Lost money, then? My condolences. Will have to remember to order some from your website to help ease the pain.

Thanks for the kind words.

Wanted to make an order, but couldn't get to the clipboard because a very talkative person was hogging it, and my feet hurt too much to keep waiting. Unfortunately, that was my only chance at the dealers' room, since I was too busy working the rest of the time.

Oh, dear. That may have been partly my fault--I like chatting while I work, and may have not been keeping close enough track of someone else possibly wanting my attention. If you're still interested in making that order, you can do it at my website.

I was wondering when you'd finally get back. *hug*

I didn't see much of you at the con after, like, Friday; not quite sure why.

Hopefully, the next (many) cons will be better and let you recoup your losses.

I was beginning to wonder when I'd get back, too, but once we got out of Vegas, we made pretty good progress, with just a side trip to the Barringer Meteor Crater (550' deep, eroded down from more than 700', and sufficiently intense that a 150' meteor didn't leave any really large chunks).

I think we just didn't run into each other. IIRC, my Saturday night was devoted to dinner and sleep.

I'm hoping for some good conventions, and am thinking about how to increase online sales. Meanwhile, I'm just doing some orders and trying to figure out an efficient way of getting those baggied buttons back into my trays. I think the best bet is to organize the baggies into roughly alphabetical groups and go from there.

Was Worldcon proportionally as bad as ConnectiCon?

That's a complicated question. Let's just say that they were both pretty bad.

I'm glad you made it back okay.
