james_nicoll links to the stupidest editorial ever.

You might have thought that the infamous Is Obama Too Fit to Be President? editorial was the limit, but it wasn't.

Under normal circumstances, I'm a "this is a human spirit, do not bend, fold, spindle, or mutilate" sort of person. The Washington Post article linked to above is not a normal circumstance. The anonymous person who posted it is more like a cartoon target than a human.

More flamage (and I hope I never have enough occasion to get really good at it) at the nicolls post.

I don't generally keep URLs for stuff I don't link. But hey, about 90% of anything written in the last three weeks of September 2001 should qualify.

Fair enough. I wasn't following the papers then-- I was glued to NPR and rec.arts.sf.fandom.

However, I did read that brilliant about everyone thinking 9/11 proved they were right.
