I've been using Godaddy. Is there any reason not to switch to Name.com? It's cheaper. Any other recommendations?

Is "Make private" actually useful?

Godaddy's TV ads are incredibly puerile and sexist. I'd avoid them on that basis alone, though I understand if YMMV.

It depends on what you need. I use 1and1 for web Hosting [using the one account I am running 3 sites]. I have a "Business" account that's $10 per month and you get a lot for the money. They also have accounts for $20, $7 and $4. I have no problems with them

You can register the Domain name at low cost any where But you consider the service also..I registered My website Domain name in the site http://www.tucktail.com/ (http://www.tucktail.com/) at low cost they provided me many free service also providing good service..You can also visit to Transfer the Domain name,register etc..
