If you're in favor of medical marijuana
Jun. 12th, 2005 06:14 amThe Hinchey/Rohrabacher medical marijuana amendment comes up for a vote in the House of Representatives on Tuesday. It says that the states can allow people to use marijuana under medical supervision. If you would prefer that people in the US who need marijuana most can use it in peace, please contact your representative asap. Form letters help, writing your own letter helps more.
Here are some links for emailing your representative a form letter:

Date: 2005-06-12 11:41 am (UTC)After the overwhelming passage of Real ID, though, I'm more convinced than ever that Congress is completely detached from any notion that people have rights or should be left free to make their own choices. This doesn't mean that I'm just rolling over and giving up, but it's necessary first to counter a cultural trend (which started long before Bush took office) that sees governmental control of people's lives as the solution to everything.
In practical terms, maybe this means I should write more songs. :)
