Hard rain has been going on for some hours, the wind is starting to pick up but isn't doing anything dramatic.

I wouldn't be surprised if Philadelphia gets another 24 hours of hurricane weather. This storm (as you may have heard) is huge-- when the eye was on the Virginia/North Carolina border, the wind and rain was extending to New Hampshire.

How are you doing?

I'm in Brooklyn, and waiting for the storm. Can't do anything else save watch the new Doctor Who.

Fidgety, but otherwise okay. We have plenty of chocolate, tea, and other necessities (some of them involving protein).

All good down here in N. VA. Local TV says we're at about the midpoint & we still have power, cable & internet.

Never before saw sheets of water running down my street, though.

Directly to our east, however, coastal MD is getting hammered.
