I ordered Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, but with the slow postage, so my copy may not be here till July 21-23.

Is there any reason you couldn't have ordered it from your local bookstore? That's what I did for Mothers and Other Monsters.

I knew that amazon has the big discount, and it didn't occur to me to check elsewhere.

I ordered my copy from Amazon.co.uk because I wanted the British version, so I'll have to wait about the same amount of time.
