LJ Annoyances
Jun. 13th, 2004 10:40 amI just wasted some time trying to make sure that my lj-cut below was working properly before I posted it. It seems that lj-cuts don't show up in the preview.
Another annoyance: there's no good way to keep track of whether people have made new comments, ist there?
Or have I missed some really obvious stuff which would make these annoyances go away?

Re: Simple way to test LJ-cuts (and more)
Date: 2004-06-13 02:08 pm (UTC)Then look at it for yourself. If you like how it looks, go into
Manage Entries
And change that entry from private to either public or friends as you wish. I have done this myself but instead of changing the post to public, I set it so the only person who can view it is you. That test post also contains some of these instructions.

Date: 2004-06-13 03:52 pm (UTC)Email notification: If you've got email notification turned on, here's how it's supposed to work. If somebody replies directly to anything you posted, whether to your journal or as a reply to anything in LiveJournal. Unfortunately, though, if somebody replies to something that somebody else posted, even if that thread started in your journal, that you don't get notified about. For example:
