The comparison between the TLC showered on Florida last year and Bush's initial "What, me worry?" response to this year's disaster no doubt will go unnoticed by the amnesia patients in the corporate media. And since I'm lucky enough to live in a swing state that is also coveted by GOP political strategists, I probably don't have to worry about it either -- that is, as long as any future disasters around my neck of the woods happen in one of those years divisible by two.

The good news is that they apparently don't yet think they have complete control of counting the votes. I still remind working on paper trails.

Last year, when the Feds sent people in (four to six days after the hurricanes), people were complaining that the Feds sent help in *too* fast, because it was an election year.

This year, when they sent in people *faster* than they did last year (two to four days), for a disaster that's many times larger, people are complaining because it's "too slow."
