I didn't think of this as a "morning person" type of slogan. It's just that "We attack at noon!" or "We attack at sunset!" didn't seem to have the same classical ring to them, and historically very few attacks were launched at midnight. :-)

I didn't exactly see it as an explicit morning person slogan, but when I started turning over in my mind, it seemed to me that the appeal could be widened.

I agree that dawn is a reasonable time for an attack--probably in part because you're hoping that the enemy isn't quite awake yet.

Bear in mind, also, that there are two ways to see the dawn; by rising early, and by staying up really late. :-)
